About the service

Brows are a two-step process. Whether you are looking for Microblading, Hybrid, Combo, Ombre, or Nano brows, there will be an initial appointment and a 6-week color boost. During the initial appointment I will map your brows and show you the design. We will make tweaks together until you are 100% happy! After that I will show you a color that will be best suited for your skin tone and your natural brow color while you are numbing. YES, NUMBING! 😊 I will numb you before we begin as well as throughout the appointment to keep you as comfortable as possible. After we are done, I will go over aftercare instructions as well as schedule your 6-week color boost. I do want to make you aware of the 14-day healing period! Your brows will continuously get darker once we are done (they may even look red!) but don’t worry this is TOTALLY normal and the red tones and darkness fades within a few days. They will also start to flake and may look patchy as they heal. Due to these unsavory healing moments, I would strongly encourage you to avoid booking your brow appointment around any big events like family photos or vacations! (Please check out aftercare for more information on the healing process)

Number of Sessions

You will need a color boost session 6 weeks after your initial appointment.

Maintenance

Color boosts are recommended every 1-2 years. It is important to let your brows fade by 40% before booking a color boost.

Styles

Microbladed brows are done by using only hairstroke techniques. Hybrid brows are a mixture of hairstrokes and light shading with a rotary machine or manual shader. Combo is a few hair strokes in the front and then shading throughout. Ombre is all shading work where the tail (end) of the brows are darker and then gets lighter towards the front of the brow. Nano brows are done by using a rotary machine to create the illusion of hairstrokes, along with some light shading. (Similar look to a microblade or a hybrid brow)

Is it painful?

No, but it is not necessarily comfortable. While everyone has a different pain tolerance,
majority of my clients experience very little to no pain at all. I numb you before the appointment as well
as throughout to keep you comfy!

Preparing For Your Appointment

  • NO waxing, tanning, or tinting 3 days before your appointment
  • Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before
  • NO caffeine the day of your appointment
  • 72 hours prior to your appointment, no blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Niacin, Asprin, or Vitamin E (unless medically necessary)
  • Discontinue retinol use for 2 weeks before appointment.

Aftercare

  • Immediately following your appointment wash your brow every two hours and apply a VERY thin layer of ointment provided to you at your appointment.
  • For 7 days following your appointment wash your brows and apply ointment morning and night.
  • Apply a thin layer of ointment mid-day to ease the urge to itch.

**Washing Instructions** Using the soap provided at your appointment, apply two pumps onto a cotton round and wipe the brow from front to tail (not back and forth). Then using a different cotton round, get it lightly damp and wipe once to remove any residue. After wiping you will apply a thin layer of provided ointment with clean hands or with an applicator that was provided. (The size of a grain of rice of ointment is enough for both brows).

For The Next 14 Days / Until Healed

  • No scratching or picking the area.
  • No moisture exposure. This includes swimming, intense exercise that would cause sweating, saunas, steam rooms, keep your face out of the water while showering, etc.
  • Avoid sun exposure, if you will be outside, please wear a hat.
  • No product on the treatment area except for the ointment that was provided.
  • Be prepared for your brows to look dark and bold (even red) for a few days following your appointment. They will soften as they heal.

(If anything seems out of the ordinary during healing, please contact me. In the event of an unforeseen reaction please see a medical professional immediately.)
